Since Zoukies has become my full time commitment, there have been two challenges that I find difficult to navigate in both my personal life and when planning events. These two challenges are last minute cancellations and the extension of expiring services.

 

I love and respect all of you and want to support your personal situations deeply, I recognise and enjoy that my position is both friend and teacher for many of you. And I love and respect my time, my work, my capacity to support myself in this job and the quality of service I see myself provide.

 

With this in both mind and heart, the following policies are effective from: 25/09/2021.

Cancellation Policies

CANCELLATION OF PRIVATE CLASSES WITHIN 24 HOURS WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL FEES.​

Why do I have a cancellation policy for private classes?

​

I have a set number of hours each week that I dedicate to private classes and I need to fulfil these hours in order to meet my personal targets. When a private class is cancelled within 24 hours of the start time, I am unable to make alternative arrangements for this time-slot, and so the full fees will be charged.

CANCELLATION OF GROUP CLASSES WITHIN 24 HOURS WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL FEES.

Why do I have a cancellation policy for group classes?

​

I organise my weekly schedule around group classes, and often this involves a long drive to Basel or Bern, and sometimes even staying overnight. For this commitment I need a minimum number of people in each class. If there are not enough people to fill a group class then I will cancel it, and use my time for alternative work or pleasure options. When a class is cancelled within 24 hours of the start time, I am unable to make alternative arrangements with my time and so the full fees will be charged.

 

CANCELLATION OF SINGLE-DAY EVENTS WITHIN 7 DAYS WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL FEES.​

CANCELLATION OF TWO-OR-MORE-DAY EVENTS WITHIN 60 DAYS WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL FEES.

Why do I have cancellation policies for workshops and retreats?

​

Events require a lot of organisation and financial investment including the reservations of rooms, teaching staff, travel and and sometimes accommodation; additionally I need to plan my time, holidays, finances and childcare. To ensure each event is successful and sustainable I choose to invest an appropriate level of energy in promotion and organisation that aligns with the scale of risk and reward. If cancelations occur within the 7 and 30 day time period, this balance of investment, risk and reward is no longer in harmony for me. In all cases, discounted tickets are not entitled to refunds.

 

(For all of the above policies, this includes: feeling tired, sick, quarantine, working late, missed transportation or having a change in personal circumstance. If you are concerned about the possible need to cancel your bookings, please secure yourself with your own private event insurance. Cancellation requests must be in writing, not as part of a voice message.)

Expiring Services

 

Why do I have an expiry policy for private and group class abos?

Every month I have fixed business costs; studio rents, insurance, website maintenance, staff costs, music and DJ subscription services, etc. These fixed costs require a certain flow and continuity in the functioning of the business. If services are provided without expiry conditions, this continuity becomes out of balance and I can no longer offer the same quality of service.

EXPIRING PRIVATE CLASS ABO

6x classes = 3 months

10x classes = 6 months

14x classes = 9 months

20x classes = 12 months

 

EXPIRING GROUP CLASS ABO

10x class abo = 4 months

20x class abo = 7 months.

(If you think you will be unable to fulfil your abo within the valid time period, please contact me for an extension before you make the booking so that we can discuss and plan together a suitable validation period.)

Credit Notes

Credit notes for cancelled services and events will be valid for 12 months.

Gifting

If you are aware that you are unable to fulfil your purchased services, you can transfer them to another person, providing they are not already an existing student of the Zoukies community. The expiry date for the services remains the same.
